Burnout

Taking Care of yourself while taking care of others

You are your own best resource. If you do not take care of yourself, how can you take care of someone else? I have taught a segment about burnout in geriatrics in my Clinical Neurology Course for years. If you have seen my short presentation and you liked it, you need to take this 3-hour LIVE webinar because in this class we do a deep dive into examining ourselves and reviewing and practicing all the evidence-based ways to fix burnout. In the past 5 years, a myriad of studies have been published on the cost both emotionally and physically of burnout on health care workers but there is something you can do. Learn how to assess your level of burnout and when you need to work on it. Then learn at least 10 different ways to work on your burnout. Everyone is different and not every intervention works for each person. You will learn and practice different ways to decrease burnout and then you will develop a plan to work on your burnout. Dr. Carole Lewis will inform and entertain you as you discover new ways of looking at how you work and how you can work in ways that can make you happier and more productive as well how to monitor your burnout behaviors.
