Donald Hayes is a physical therapist for the Central Iowa Health Care System, the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has worked in telehealth since 2015 and home care since 2006. He is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Missouri and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in 2020. He has spoken on the topic of telehealth for physical and occupational therapists at national and regional conferences and is a member of the APTA Frontiers in Research, Science, and Technology (FiRST) council. He is a GTCCS (Geriatric Trained and Certified Clinical Specialist) and a GCS (Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist). In addition, he has written numerous articles on telehealth and has received awards and recognition in this area.
