Dr Bianca Bass PT, DPT is a physical therapist with more than 25 years of experience who specializes in biomechanics. She graduated “cum laude” in Brazil for a BS in Physical Therapy and a BS in Physical Education. While in Brazil, she served as head of the physical therapy department in one of the largest hospitals in Rio de Janeiro, responsible for in-patient care, supervising thirty therapists spanning the disciplines of physical, occupational, and speech therapy. In Brazil, she also served as an adjunct professor at the IBMR university teaching kinesiology. Then Dr. Bass came to the United States to pursue her Doctoral degree in Physical therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. She spent 15 years working in several outpatient clinics in the Washington, DC area. During this time, Bianca also served as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University. Now, she is the owner of Absolute Physical Therapy, LLC – a concierge physical therapy company that serves Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
Her experience in different clinical settings and with diverse patient population allows her to identify the patient’s biomechanical problem and apply the proper therapies for patient relief and improvement. She enjoys working with patients to help them regain independence and conduct their daily activities pain-free. Her unique experiences allow her to take a holistic approach in the recommended treatments. Dr. Bass keeps herself up-to-date with the latest treatment techniques which helps her look beyond the symptoms of a specific joint to solve the biomechanical puzzle and recommend the best path forward.
