Dr Carol Schunk is a clinical therapist in home health and rehab settings for PT On Call. Dr Schunk received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Colorado, a Masters in health education and administration from San Francisco State University and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pacific University. She has lectured nationally on topics including Motivation and Compliance, Medicare and Managed Care, Outcomes, Treatment Guidelines, Home Health, Documentation, and Ethics. She is the Co-Editor of Clinical Practice Guidelines, Examination and Intervention for Rehabilitation in addition to over 45 published articles. For the past 7 years she was editor of GeriNotes, the clinical magazine for the APTA Section on Geriatrics. Dr Schunk served as a Director of the American Physical Therapy Association, on the Board of Directors of three APTA Sections and President of the Oregon Chapter. In 2009 she received the APTA Lucy Blair Service award and the Joan Mills award from the Section on Geriatrics. She is currently co-chair of the ethic committee for the Oregon Physical Therapy Association.
