This course is designed to extend and enrich learning in the area of geriatric neurology through the practical application of content as it relates to the treatment of neurological patients.The prerequisite to this course is successful completion (>80% correct on the post-test) of 5 of the following 6 courses:
Using the most up-to-date information on neurological rehabilitation of the geriatric patient, participants will apply course content from each of the 5 (of the 6) prerequisite courses to respond to 5 course-specific, advanced case studies. All case study responses require content knowledge as well as appropriate assessment and treatment strategies and evidence-based justifications. A sample case study will be provided so participants will know what to expect. Dr. Carole Lewis will provide participant feedback for all 5 case studies and she will submit grades for the course. Participants who successfully pass the 5 case study assignments will receive the certification designation Certified Expert in Applied Geriatric Neurology (CEAGN)
