The studies on effective interventions for this population are not easy to find. But they are there, and they are good. If we use great proven protocols for our patients who spend their time in a chair or bed, we can get great results. But we must find what they can do and what works.

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Develop an exercise program for a patient with bed mobility, sitting, and sitting to standing restrictions.
  • Compare and contrast interventions for a patient with bed mobility, sitting, and sitting to standing restrictions.
  • Progress and monitor a program for a patient with bed mobility, sitting, and sitting to standing restrictions.
  • Compare and contrast functional outcome measures for bed mobility, sitting and sitting to standing.
  • Identi fy patients who are appropriate for functional outcome measures for bed mobility, sitting and sitting to standing.
  • Develop a plan of care, goals, and problem list for a patient with bed mobility, sitting and sitting to standing issues.
