Kathy graduated from the University of Evansville with a Master of Physical Therapy in 1996. Since then, she has worked in several capacities and environments within the PT world. She started out at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, KY, as a staff Physical Therapist. Within six months, she was offered a therapist staffing position in Lexington, KY. After a year in Lexington, her husband Mike joined the Marine Corps, and the family was relocated to Camp LeJeune, NC. Kathy started an outpatient clinic from the ground up in Jacksonville, NC. 2001 saw our family looking to move again, as Mike was getting out of the Marines and into law enforcement. The Fagan family moved home to the Nashville where Kathy worked in the home health setting, covering just about all of middle Tennessee. Kathy has also served as a clinical instructor for DPT students from Tennessee State University and Belmont University, and as an adjunct faculty member at Volunteer State Community College in the PTA program. In 2020 Kathy and her husband Mike opened their own outpatient clinic with a specialization in geriatrics. Both Mike and Kathy have continued their education, focusing on the geriatric population and providing evidence-based evaluation and treatment of movement and functional deficits. Kathy has earned the distinction as a Functional Strategies for Optimal Aging Expert (FSOAE), a Geriatric Trained and Certified Clinical Specialist (GTCCS), a Certified OASIS Field Specialist (COFS), and End of Life Doula (EOLD), and a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS). She was also national Physical Therapist of the Month for LHC Group January 2019.
