Post-Acute Care Revolution:

New Evidence Based Interventions for Older Adults

Best course for how to be successful in treating and documenting in a SNF, home care, and outpatient setting.

Treating the older adult in today’s Post-Acute Setting has recently become much more challenging. We face increased demands on productivity and efficiency, recommendations to use specified evidence-based treatment techniques and standardized assessments, changing regulations for billing, and higher expectations for documentation. For a therapist who has experience, or a therapist who is new to the post-acute setting, these challenges can seem daunting. So what is a therapist supposed to do? We must grow in our ability to meet these challenges.

This course will address how to do that by demonstrating how to do concise evidence-based assessments and a myriad of creative research-based interventions. In addition, there is a great segment on how to conduct a group treatment done by Mark Traffas with real patients.

This course will provide the treating therapist with evidence based treatment techniques on commonly seen conditions and diagnosis and demonstrate how to effectively administer these techniques  to actual patients, give the therapist ideas to improve productivity, efficiency and personal growth, provide appropriate standardized assessments that can easily be implemented in various clinical settings, educate therapists on how to improve documentation and as a bonus section explain the Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) for the skilled nursing setting.

The therapist who learns to adapt to these changes will be better prepared to treat the older adult and give them the high-quality care that they deserve.
