Preventing Falls from Head to Toe:

Community Education on Falls Prevention

One in four Americans over 65 fall each year and the cost for this is over 31 billion dollars. A powerful way to educate the public and physicians about the benefits of physical therapy and fall prevention is to go to community groups and offices and give a succinct but effective talk. This course will teach you and show you how to do this. The first half of the course is a detailed explanation of how to give an effective educational talk. The second part is Dr. Carole Lewis doing the talk with a question and answer session after the talk. You can also download the PowerPoint slides and individualize them to you so that you can use them for your own talks on Fall Prevention.
