  • Describe the musculoskeletal changes with age and discuss at least one examination and intervention technique for these.

  • Determine where patients/clients fit within the norms and cutoffs for various functional and objective  assessments
  • Complete a medication reconciliation for older adults experiencing polypharmacy as part of the drug regimen review process.
  • Identify and communicate adverse drug reactions and side effects to health care team in order to improve patient safety.
  • Incorporate the 2019 American Geriatric Society Potentially Inappropriate Medication Resource (aka “Beers List” into clinical practice.
  • Demonstrate functional measures and evidence – based exercise protocols for older adults following stroke.
  • Competently establish a one repetition maximum strength program that is specific to the needs and strength of the individual patient
  • Compare and contrast evidence-based interventions for patients with Parkinson’s Disease

EDUCATIONAL CREDIT: Upon completion of the course, a certificate of attendance for 20 contact hours of educational activity (20 CEUs or 2.0 CEUs depending on how your Practice Act determines CEUs in your state) will be awarded to registrants upon completion of the seminar.
