Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Select appropriate functional measurements to perform clinical evaluations based on patient goals and limitations for home health and long-term care facilities.
- Defend the purpose of each measurement for better patient and caregiver understanding and carryover in simple terms.
- Choose techniques to encourage better communication and motivate participation between therapists, patients, caregivers and assistants.
- Increase confidence in blending biological, psychological and social components of our patients to earn trust and maximize their potential.
- Assemble adequate references for measurements and treatment rationale.
- Construct measurement and treatment options improve understanding, reinforce carryover for patient care and show confidence in delivery.
- Create a brief but appropriate Occupational Profile. (What Matters Most)
